January events in Saigon include;

La Vita E La Morte - visual and performing arts festival in Saigon (13-15/01, all day);
Spam Cham - charity food night at Jaspa's Restaurant (25/01, 18:30 - 20:30);
Tet - Vietnamese new year festival all over Saigon (23/01, all day);

January 13-15: La Vita E La Morte
Where: Boomeang Bistro Saigon
When: all day
Local dramatics group, Saigon Players, is teaming up with Boomerang Bistro Saigon to present a three-day festival of visual and performing arts. Dubbed La Vita e La Morte (Life and Death), the charity event will showcase professional, non-professional and student artists, including painters, sculptors and photographers contributing art pieces that depict and reflect the theme of life and death.

January 23: Tet Festival
Where: all over Saigon
When: all day
Tet is the most important festival in Vietnam which marks the start of the new lunar year. Gifts are given to the very old or young along with ritual house cleaning, ancestral worship and preparing special food. Many people return to their family homes and transport can be chaotic.

January 25: Spam Cham
Where: Jaspa's Restaurant, 33 Dong Khoi St, District 1
When: 18:30 - 20:30
Charity night for meat lovers win aid of the Loreto Foundation with Monster Meat Tray Raffle, plenty of great prizes and  free flowing open bar and snacks all for only 200,000vnd per person.
